March to Trenton
Celebrating the 235 Anniversary of the Battles of Trenton
On December 31st, 2011
There will be a special Crossing of the Delaware in
Durham boats at first light at Washington Crossing Historic Park, Pa..
to GW Crossing State Park, NJ. where the troops will be bussed to
join the march. The marchers will start walking at 7am, then
march
over the original route to Trenton. We plan to arrive just before
the start of the first Battle of Trenton.
This will be over a 9 mile march. We will use
the
Original Route. There will
be at least one water stop, but it will be a
long, hard
walk with full gear directly into the battle.
Participants are limited to those reenactors whose units are registered
with the Old Barracks in Trenton for the Battles.
Units must register for the Battles of Trenton to do the
march/crossing. Please down load
this form and send it to the
Old
Barracks. Participation is limited to those units who are members of
the British Brigade, Con't Line or Brigade of the American Revolution.
NO WALK ONS. Space on the boats is also limited, first
come, first on, by date of registration.

Schedule

Reenactors will be ferried by bus from the Old Barracks to George
Washington Crossing
Park, NJ. Reenactors doing the crossing will walk cross the bridge to
the Pa. park to
assemble by 6:30 am. where they will be
assigned to the boats.
The boats will be crewed by the experienced Marbleheader
Regiment, the 14th Continental.
At first light the boats will cross.
At 7:00 am the march to Trenton will begin, arriving
at the
Battle Monument in Trenton for the start of the battle at 11 am.
Those who do the crossing will be taken by bus to join the marchers
along the route.
PARTICIPANTS MUST WALK THE MARCH TO TRENTON- NO OTHER TRANSPORTATION
WILL BE AVAILABLE.
The march will be over 9 miles.

Logistics
Participants are asked to park in the State House parking garage, next
to the Old Barracks.
At 6:00 am we will begin to ferry the troops by bus to the
park. Those who do the crossing will be bused to join the march
enroute. The battle will end next to the Old Barracks, again next
to the parking garage.
